Christine Wichman is the Vice President and co-owner, along with her husband Paul Wichman, of the local office of BrightStar Care. BrightStar Care of San Francisco and Marin is a California licensed home health agency providing both medical and non-medical in-home care. BrightStar Care provides a full range of home care services which range from hourly shifts to live-in care. Skilled Nursing, dementia care, hospice care and personal and companionship care are provided by thoroughly screened, trained and insured employees.
Ms. Wichman oversees many of the daily communications with clients and their families. She spends time with clients prior to starting a case, and along with an RN assessment and Plan of Care, informs the BrightStar Care Coordinator of the type of care needed for the client. Ms. Wichman strives to help her clients remain safely and comfortably in their homes, participating in the activities they enjoy. BrightStar Care guarantees compatibility between caregiver and client. Ms. Wichman and BrightStar’s Director of Nursing gather enough information in the initial visit to match the client with the perfect caregiver.
Ms. Wichman is also responsible for helping to ensure BrightStar’s policies and procedures are followed and oversees marketing and sales. Ms. Wichman supports a strong environment of teamwork through her involvement in recruiting BrightStar’s compassionate employees, which include companionship and personal caregivers, CNAs, CHHAs, LVNs, RNs, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapist, Dietician and Social Workers.
Christine and Paul Wichman have created a strong community outreach program at BrightStar by volunteering time and /or financial support to non-profit organizations such as the Alzheimer’s Association, Marin Village, The Redwoods, Mercy Corps, Marin Food Bank, Mill Valley Schools-Kiddo, Irene Swindells Residential Care at California Pacific Medical Center, Rotary  International, and Senior Access.
